Team Gymkhana,
A quick BGSC Club snapshot!
(pardon any typos, errors and if I have overlooked any highlights)
We had an uplifting encounter with a resident of Wrentham Developmental Center. I know many of us do this, but remember to engage with the community when they visit the fields. Brian is the latest of BGSC's fan and be on the lookout for him and do acknowledge him if you see him at the field.

Ground Maintenance
The lawn tractor is not drivable. I have exhausted my 4 sources of getting it fixed yesterday. There seems to be a fuel/carburetor issue. If anyone has resources to get this fixed reach out to me asap. The earliest I can get someone there as of now is in July. This will pose problems in the coming weeks.
Cricketing front
On the cricketing front we have many positives to take away, though as a club we are still waiting for our first win against a non BGSC team. The net sessions are in full flow and it is good to see folks using the nets to sharpen their skills and we all know that is needed.
BGSC-F2 stoic display in playing out the allotted 40 overs, Yaseah 50 ball knock, the youngster Rohan spending 9 overs for an unbeaten 0*(30 balls) at the crease shows some fight and character. Shawn Higgins taking the field for BGSC-E weeks after suffering a heart attack, Nitish's lone vigil as he almost carries the bat through 65(81) as the team gets to 110. BGSC-B team's wonderful display of hospitality as Joginder Saini celebrates his debut for BGSC-F1 with a 5-fer. BGSC-C's bowlers especially Swapnil and fielders played very well to bundle B Bulls for a partly 107, however faced some tough going as they faced a bowler for whom they had few answers. BGSC-A still searching for a coherent rhythm, some decent effort by many, especially Raja Ananada and the earlier batsmen and Anis sparkling with both the bat and ball. Anis again showed lots of character with the bat.
Off-Field
-It was great to see many ladies, children and friends at the field. There were numerous BGSC Club members supporting the action in the fields.
-Thursday's meet and greet with BGSC's legend Ravi Pitti joining the club for a one-off match after 14 years was a great success with 20 people across the club joining in for a relaxed gup-shup, poker and snacks.
-BGSC-B set the bar to be topped by being exceptional hosts on Saturday to BGSC-F1 with scrumptious food (all members contributing) and an overall display of sportsman spirit and positivity.
-Kamal Kundanani Farewell: Cricket being a mainly expat sport and a sport that features many students and folks starting their careers, there are always quite a few new faces that we see every year as we bid farewell to some. That is always sad. There are some that make an impact by the din of their personality, their support and dedication to the club rise above and make themselves invaluable to the club. Kamal is one such person. We are sad to see him go, but we wish him the very best as he embarks on this new phase of his life. Bon Voyage Kamal.
